What is the purpose of Kids' College classes?
Kids' College classes are designed to provide the child with positive enrichment activity outside of the regular classroom experience.
The Kids' College classes have a grade level or age range listed for each class. The course instructor determines the class level in an effort to ensure that all enrolled children will have a positive and successfull experience while in class.
What grade level should I enroll my child in for the Spring session?
If your child needs a review or struggled with the material, enroll them in the grade they just completed. If the child wants to preview the coming year, enroll them in the grade they will be entering. Because classes may require a level of coordination, or maturity we ask that parents follow these guidelines.
Why do some classes have grade levels and others age levels and what do those mean?
Our instructors have designated grades or ages appropriate for their class. Usually the academic subjects are divided by grades levels and the non-academic areas such as sports where coordination might be important are divided by age.
Are there tests and homework in the Kids' College classes?
Kids' College classes are not graded. These classes are designed to be fun for the child without the pressures of homework or grades. A teacher may provide enrichment activities to take home or opportunities to complete worksheets in an effort to reinforce class materials. These items will not be recorded with grades.
Can students register after the term has started?
Yes, but tuition is not prorated if the class has already started. It is not advisable to register for a class that has met more than two times.
